New 26 metre Otam 85 GTS

The 26 metre, fully custom yacht Otam 85 GTS was launched in May and exceeded her target top speed in her first sea trials. She is the first 85 GTS from the Italian yard. Engineering and design are by Otam CEO Gianfranco Zanoni, who worked in collaboration with Rapallo-based Umberto Tagliavini from Marine Design & Services. The exterior design meanwhile was developed in close cooperation with Joseph Design Architecture. 

Her sporty looks are matched by her performance – Cara Montana has a twin 2,600hp MTU 16V M 94 and Arneson transmission set-up for a top speed of 45 knots plus and cruising speed of 38. The owner was drawn to the futuristic, supercar-inspired profile of the Otam 85 GTS and requested the Italian shipyard create a classic, open version designed to suit his personal style. 

The interior layout and design are by Paris-based architect Joseph Dirand Architecture. Accommodation is in two large master suites in the bow and centre of the yacht, plus a galley and dining saloon. The crew quarters in the bow are accessed independently from the main accommodation, ensuring privacy. There is ample al fresco lounging space fore and aft. An open transom leads down to a swim platform. A semi-open fly deck provides seating and dining facilities.
